How Cafestory handles your reading information.
Reading sessions
An essential session cookie remembers your reading list, chapter and text size. Reading does not require an account. Public registration and reader sign-in are disabled; only authorized publishing staff may sign in.
The publisher may configure a mail provider for delivery tests and publishing services. We do not enroll visitors in marketing emails.
Reading statistics
We record daily aggregate story views, chapter reads, server ad renders and sponsor clicks. Reading views and clicks are deduplicated per session and UTC day. Server ad renders are delivery counts, not verified views or unique people. These internal counters do not store reader emails, IP addresses or fingerprints.
Google Analytics
If enabled by the publisher, Google Analytics loads only after you allow analytics. It may use cookies and send browser and usage information to Google. This choice is separate from external ads and lasts for your current session. Sign-in, setup and CMS pages are excluded. Query strings and fragments are omitted from the page URLs sent by our integration. Google Privacy Policy.
Administrator security
Publisher accounts have role-based permissions. Authenticator secrets and mail/API credentials are encrypted with a key held outside the public website directory. Failed-attempt limits use hashes derived from the connection address and action. Administrative changes are logged. Hosting providers may keep their own access and error logs.
External advertising
Native sponsor links do not load external advertising scripts. If the publisher configures Google AdSense or Adskeeper, these providers may receive browser and network information and use cookies according to their policies. Google Privacy & messaging may ask for additional choices. AdSense earnings and network impressions are reported separately from our own delivery counters.
